Dr. Nathan Wise (BA [Hons] - UOW, PhD - UNSW) is a lecturer in the School of Humanities at the University of New England (UNE). Over the past ten years he has taught a broad range of Australian history topics, such as Australian military history, Aboriginal cultural history, colonial Australian history, Australian political history, Australian labour history, Australian environmental history and conflict, and Australian cultural history. Nathan’s historical research focuses upon Australian cultural history, particularly during the First World War and the Second World War.
Rebecca Wheatley is a PhD candidate and researcher with the Centennial History of Anzac Day project at Monash University. Her thesis, Teaching Anzac, explores how war histories have been taught to Australian students throughout the twentieth century and looks at their place in the classrooms of today.
